How it works

Simple for owners, fair for sitters.

For pet owners

  1. Send an account request
    Every new account is reviewed and approved by the LunaJoy team before the first login.
  2. Add your pets
    Species, breed, food, medication, behaviour, vet — fill it in once, reuse it for every booking.
  3. Pick a sitter and send a request
    You see the full price before sending. Nothing is charged until the sitter accepts.
  4. Pay securely
    Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. The booking is confirmed right after payment.
  5. Get updates and leave a review
    Talk to the sitter directly inside the booking, and review them at the end.

For sitters

  1. Send a sitter account request
    Once the team approves your account, fill in your public profile.
  2. Submit your ID for verification
    Upload your identity document; the LunaJoy team checks it manually.
  3. Publish your services
    Choose services, prices, accepted species, capacity and grooming options.
  4. Accept the right requests
    Every request comes with the pets' full profiles. Accept or decline.
  5. Get paid
    After the service is completed, your amount (minus the platform fee) is transferred to your IBAN.
Sign up as a sitter

Payments

Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are processed by NETOPIA Payments (a Romanian processor), in lei. PayPal payments are in euro at the day's National Bank of Romania rate, because PayPal does not support lei. LunaJoy never sees or stores card details.
